J Roül Rothman

Roül relocated to the UK in 1992 from South Africa where he qualified at the University of Pretoria as a dentist. His mother’s family were all medically trained and his uncle, who lived in England, was a Periodontist. He made dentistry and particularly delivering dentistry in the UK sound wonderful, which is what made Roül relocate here. He worked in Northampton before he bought this practice in 1997.

He states:” it is the best decision he has ever made as it is a family, not a practice, and patients feel like they are part of that family.”

He constantly undertakes courses to update his knowledge in order to deliver the best results possible. Roül loves a new challenge. He has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. He enjoys working with and talking to people.

In his spare time Roül enjoys endurance cycling and trekking. He is incredibly proud of the exceptional reputation the practice has built. “It has a great name and we are very proud of what we do there.”

Shella Umansky

Shella is a highly experienced general dental practitioner, having originally qualified in the Philippines. She registered with the GDC in the UK in 2009, following postgraduate training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London. Shella subsequently worked in Buckinghamshire, Inverness and Portsmouth before moving to Poole in 2017.

Shella is highly committed to ongoing professional development with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, including tooth whitening, veneers, composite bonding, SmileFast, Invisalign and facial aesthetics.

Shella is passionate about dentistry and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking and pilates.

Dilek Karakus

Dilek graduated in 2009 from Barts and London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

She worked at Guys and St Thomas Hospital Acute Dental Care department and in a general dental practice in London for 12 years before relocating to Bournemouth in 2022. Dilek joined our practice in 2024.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and finds helping patients with pain management most rewarding.

In her free time, Dilek enjoys nature walks, learning new languages and attending courses to learn new hobbies! She has a particular interest in sculpting and archery.

Vicki Cross

Vicki qualified at Kings College Hospital in 1982. Vicki joined the practice in 2002 and is very experienced in dealing with nervous patients.

Naomi Farrell

GDC Reg. No: 192881

Naomi graduated from Portsmouth University in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Naomi was awarded the Restorative prize in her year.

Naomi is always smiling and friendly and keen to make all patients feel relaxed and calm throughout the appointment. She attends regular courses to stay up to date with continuing professional development.

In her spare time she loves to spend quality time with family going on long walks to the beach and forest. Enjoy keeping fit in the gym. She loves reading and trying her hand at silver jewellery making.

Josey Lovell

Josey qualified with BSc Hons in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Portsmouth in 2019. After university she completed an extra Vocational Training year as a Dental Therapist in the NHS Special Care Dental Services based in Havant.

Josey is enthusiastic and enjoys providing all aspects of hygiene treatment, working with anxious patients and children in a gentle and calm manner, enabling them to overcome their fears of dental treatment.

In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include baking, crafts and outdoor activities which include kayaking and skiing.
